In order to use Real Transfer services, you must first register with us, providing the sender’s original documents or certified copies and the recipient’s information. As soon as your registration has been approved, you will be able to complete the transaction by means of a bank deposit (AIB or BOI), via one of our agents, using our online system or in person at one of our branches. After the security information has been confirmed, we will inform you of how long the transfer will take, the current exchange rate and the amount the recipient will receive in their destination country.

Anyone who is over 18 (eighteen) years of age who needs to send money in a secure and reliable fashion can use our money transfer service.
4.1 – In person at one of our branches or authorised agents;
Original documents must be presented for registrations in person.
PROOF OF IDENTITY: valid passport (including the page with the holder’s signature), European driving
licence (as long as it is not provided as proof of address), or any other ID card valid in the European Union.
PROOF OF ADDRESS: all documents must be recent, with no missing information, and must not be modified or cropped. We accept bank or credit card statements; water, electricity, gas, phone or internet bills; Revenue, insurance and TV licence documents or your driving licence (as long as it is not provided as proof of identity).
4.2 – By post
All copies of documents provided must have been certified by a competent authority (Garda, solicitor, embassy, etc).

A certified copy is a copy of a document that has been officially verified by someone with access to the original document. You can obtain a certified copy of your document through the Garda, a solicitor, the embassy or any other competent authority.

6.2 – In person at one of our branches

You can pay the fee for the transaction by cash or by card (We accept all major credit and debit cards such as Visa, Mastercard and Maestro, etc).

6.3 Online transfers made through our system;
Returning customers
There is no need for re-registration. All you need to do is to request the approval of your existing registration by calling our Head Office or in person at one of our branches, providing us with a valid email address.
Once your registration has been approved, our system will send a confirmation email to the provided address containing a link (https://www.realtransferonline.com) and a temporary password, with instructions on how to reset your password immediately.
New customers

To register, please send certified copies of the documents listed below via post. The documents must be certified by a competent authority (Garda, solicitor, Embassy, etc)

The Bank of Ireland Group reserves the right to update all information on deposits the day following the transaction. If the deposit does not feature the sender’s name or receipt number as a reference, you will need to forward a copy of the stub or receipt by email or wait until the following day, when the remittance will be processed.

If your deposit was made through a cash machine, please provide the name of the city where the deposit was made and the reference number.
7.2 – Online transfer
Transferring money online is quick and easy. All you need to do is add Real Transfer to your list of recipients and complete the transaction.
All deposits must include the sender’s name for reference purposes.
There is no limit on how much money you can send, however there is a limit on the amount of money you can send within a 30-day period without proof of income. If your transactions exceed this limit, additional proof of income will be requested for the amount sent during the period. For more information, please contact our Head Office.
The minimum amount is € 25.00 (twenty-five euros).
Because banks such as ITAÚ, BRADESCO and BANCO DO BRASIL employ a system whereby current accounts and savings accounts are linked (with both accounts sharing the same account number), the transfer may appear in the current account when intended for a savings account, and vice versa. For this reason, we ask the owners of such accounts to always check BOTH accounts after money has been sent.

The recipient will not be charged to receive the money. The only fee that applies is the sender’s transaction fee.
